It's time for a tribute post to Sarah Haskins. She's awesome. She has a segment called Target: Women on Current TV's Infomania show. It mocks the advertising industry's conceptualization of women as consumers. From yogurt to birth control, she has it covered.

The conference, formally known as Women, Action, and the Media, is where I get my feminist and visual culture kicks. Saw the Fleet Foxes at the Somerville Theater last night. My compulsion to wear flannel and look stoic in a forest has never been stronger. Here is the video for White Winter Hymnal:

The audio quality of the video does them a great disservice. I would also like to applaud the stunning work of the show's dark and mysterious light technician.
